The closest Charlotte Tilbury dupe is e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter for Hollywood Flawless Filter: both are liquid glow boosters you can wear alone, under foundation or mixed into it, the two ingredient lists open the same way, and e.l.f. costs about a quarter as much. The e.l.f. Halo Glow Highlight Beauty Wand is nearly as close a stand-in for the Beauty Light Wand, and the Halo Glow Contour Beauty Wand does the same for the Hollywood Contour Wand, cushion applicator included. For Pillow Talk, a drugstore nude-pink pencil and bullet get you the color family for a fifth of the price or less. A dupe gets you the product type, the finish and the general shade. It doesn’t get you the exact formula, the scent or the rose-gold packaging.

1. Hollywood Flawless Filter dupe: e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is a sheer liquid that Charlotte Tilbury calls a glow booster. The brand lists four ways to wear it (alone, under foundation, mixed in, or on top) and makes 12 shades.

e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter is sold for the same four uses, in 15 shades and a bottle that’s a hair bigger. The first two ingredients match (water, then hydrogenated didecene), with squalane, glycerin and isoamyl laurate on both labels. Charlotte Tilbury adds a porcelain flower extract; e.l.f. adds two forms of hyaluronic acid. It’s the same dupe our Flawless Filter review lands on. Shade numbers don’t carry over between brands, so choose by the description, not the digit.

2. Beauty Light Wand dupe: e.l.f. Halo Glow Highlight Beauty Wand

The Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand is a liquid highlighter wand with a cushion applicator. Charlotte Tilbury describes the finish as high gloss and soft-focus.

The e.l.f. Halo Glow Highlight Beauty Wand copies the format down to the cushion tip, and the labels are near neighbors: water, hydrogenated didecene and isododecane are the first three ingredients on both, with glycerin and mica close behind. e.l.f. says its formula has 2% squalane. The tube is a little smaller and still works out to under a third of the price per ounce. The catch is color: none of e.l.f.’s six shades is sold as a match for Spotlight or Pinkgasm, so expect a similar glow in a neighboring tone.

3. Hollywood Contour Wand dupe: e.l.f. Halo Glow Contour Beauty Wand

The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand is a liquid contour with the cushion applicator, sold in seven shades and pitched as buildable, blendable and never ashy.

The e.l.f. Halo Glow Contour Beauty Wand is also a buildable liquid contour with a cushion tip, at about a fifth of the price for a slightly smaller tube. Both labels start with water and both list isododecane in the top three, though the second ingredient differs: a silicone in Charlotte Tilbury’s, hydrogenated didecene in e.l.f.’s. e.l.f. makes five shades to Charlotte Tilbury’s seven, so there’s less room to find your match. Our cream contour guide covers placement.

4. Airbrush Flawless Finish dupe: e.l.f. Halo Glow Powder Filter

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder is a finely milled pressed powder in a refillable rose-gold compact. Charlotte Tilbury sells it on a soft-focus finish that takes down shine.

e.l.f. Halo Glow Powder Filter is described by e.l.f. in almost the same terms: an ultra-fine pressed finishing powder that blurs, reduces shine and can be worn alone or over makeup. The pan is bigger, 0.35 ounces to 0.28, at under a third of the price, and it comes in a dozen shades. This match rests on product type and stated finish. Our Airbrush Flawless Finish review picks the same dupe and saves the original for anyone who touches up away from home and wants the sturdier compact.

5. Pillow Talk lip liner dupe: NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Nude Pink

The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk is, in the brand’s words, the nude-pink that started Pillow Talk. Charlotte Tilbury sells it as waterproof, with wear of at least six hours.

The NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Nude Pink is a slim pencil in a shade NYX names with the same two words, for about a fifth of the price. NYX calls it long-wearing and says it resists bleeding. It isn’t sold as waterproof, and that’s the trade. Expect a close cousin of the shade, not a copy. For getting any liner to sit without a ring, see our lip liner guide.

6. Pillow Talk lipstick dupe: Maybelline Color Sensational in Born With It

The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk is a matte nude-pink bullet with a square, angled tip.

Our Pillow Talk lipstick review names Maybelline’s Creamy Matte in Touch of Spice as the dupe, and that’s still the first one to look for. That shade isn’t easy to find as a single tube from the brand or a major retailer, so the pick here is the nearest thing in the same Color Sensational family: Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Born With It, a creamy nude pink. Maybelline says the cream formula is made with shea butter. It’s a cream finish, not a matte, so expect more shine. As the review says, deeper skin tones should look at Pillow Talk Medium before the original shade.

7. Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray dupe: Milani Make It Last

The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray is a waterproof mist meant to go on before makeup and again after. Its label lists film formers, aloe, green tea and fragrance, and no denatured alcohol.

Milani Make It Last Setting Spray, the original natural-finish version, is also sold as waterproof and for use before and after makeup. Both labels include PVP, a film former. The difference is right at the top of Milani’s: alcohol is the second ingredient, ahead of niacinamide (which Milani puts at 2%) and glycerin. The bottle is smaller too, 2 ounces against 3.38, so the saving is about half per ounce and not the three-quarters the shelf prices suggest. If alcohol-based sprays feel tight on your skin, stay with the original. Related: setting spray vs. setting powder.

8. Magic Cream dupe: Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream is sold as a moisturizer and primer in one. The current jar is a reformulated version. The brand describes a peptide blend and ectoin, and the label has shea butter, camellia and rose hip oils and sodium hyaluronate, plus scent ingredients such as linalool and geraniol.

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is the dupe in our Magic Cream review, and it’s last here because it matches the job, not the recipe. Olay’s label is built on glycerin, niacinamide, panthenol and three peptides, with no plant oils or butters, and Olay calls it a light cream. The jar is the same size at about a fifth of the price, and there’s a fragrance-free version. If foundation clings to your dry patches, the original is the richer cream, and Charlotte Tilbury says dry skin especially benefits from it.

How we picked

We matched each Charlotte Tilbury product to a cheaper product of the same type with the same stated finish, then weighed how much the ingredient lists overlap. Prices are rounded. Where our reviews already name a dupe, we kept it, with the one exception explained above. The “how close” ratings reflect how much the product type, finish and ingredients overlap. Four of the eight dupes are e.l.f. because its Halo Glow line lines up with these products one for one.

When the expensive one is still worth it

When shade is the whole point. Pillow Talk is one specific nude-pink, and a drugstore nude pink is a neighbor, not a twin. When the object matters to you, as with the refillable powder compact or the square-tipped lipstick. And when a formula difference touches something your skin cares about: the setting spray without denatured alcohol, or the richer Magic Cream on dry skin. For the three liquid complexion products at the top of this list, the argument for paying more is thin.

If I Were You

  • If you want the Charlotte Tilbury glow and nothing else, I’d buy the e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter first. It’s the closest match here, on the product you’d use most often.
  • If Pillow Talk is your everyday lip, I’d buy the real lipstick or the real liner, whichever you use more, and dupe the other one.
  • If your skin is dry or feels tight after setting spray, I’d skip the Milani and either stay with the original or set with powder only where you get shiny.
  • If your skin reacts to fragrance, I’d read every label first. Magic Cream, both setting sprays and the standard Olay cream all list fragrance or scent ingredients; Olay’s fragrance-free jar is the exception. For ongoing redness or stinging, see a dermatologist before changing products.
  • If you touch up in public and enjoy a beautiful compact, I’d let the powder be the one splurge.

FAQ

Are Charlotte Tilbury dupes the same formula as the originals?

No. A dupe is a different product from a different brand that does a similar job in a similar way. Some share many ingredients with the original, as the e.l.f. Halo Glow liquids do. Others, like the Olay cream, share only the purpose.

What is the best dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter?

e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter. It’s the same kind of product, it’s sold for the same four uses, the ingredient lists overlap heavily, and it costs about a quarter as much.

Is there a drugstore dupe for Pillow Talk?

For the lipstick, Maybelline Color Sensational in Born With It is the one we link, since Touch of Spice, the dupe in our review, isn’t easy to find as a single tube. For the liner, NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Nude Pink. Neither is an exact color match. More comparisons like these are in our makeup archive.

Bottom line

Dupe the liquids. Flawless Filter, the Beauty Light Wand and the Contour Wand each have an e.l.f. counterpart in the same format, with an overlapping label, at a fraction of the price. Be pickier with Pillow Talk, where the exact shade is the product, and with Magic Cream, where the cheaper jar is a different kind of cream doing the same morning job.

How we pick

We read the ingredient list the way you would read a contract: closely, skeptically, and all the way to the fine print. Nobody pays for placement, and a product only makes a list if we would spend our own money on it again.
